We finally got released from the hospital Friday afternoon. We had some sort of medical mystery with Eli. For some reason he dropped 1 pound in the matter of 6 hours one night and nobody knew why. Eli was well known those last few days as the baby who dropped 19% of his body weight in one night. The Doctors had Eli for most of Friday running test on him and found nothing. He is as healthy as a horse. Everyone thought the scale in the operating room was off and therefore his birth weight had been off. They later wrote that off b/c he weighed over 7 pounds later that day and night. Which meant either both scales were wrong or he had gained 1 pound during the day, then lost it again that night. Babies usually drop 5% those first few days with 10% being the very most they want to see a baby drop. Well they both dropped 4% which was great, but they Eli being the over achiever that he is took it a little far. After all that we finally got the OK saying there was nothing wrong with him.
The first few days all babies do is sleep and eat. The nurses take care of everything. When they leave the hospital it is like the nurses flip a switch and they become these little bundles of loudness. Eli was once this quiet peaceful baby. He is now the loud baby who yells for no reason. Baker on the other hand just sits there and hangs out and is very content with sitting in the pack-n-play by himself . Grandma and Grandpa Wright are here giving us a hand and it has been wonderful to have this much help. If you are having a baby and somebody offers to come over for a few nights to help out, you are nuts if you decline their offer. Lindsey and I were up almost the entire night feeding and changing diapers. Do you have any idea how many diapers 2 babies go through in a night? It isn't only that, I got peed on twice and had to change my shirts. You think to yourself...he is wearing a diaper so it will absorb right...well have you ever dumped a 5 gallon bucket of water on a diaper? Doesn't work that well does it?
Here is a picture of the boys in their crib. I am not sure, but I think they have plenty of room to stretch?

Hey guys! We hope you're able to squeeze in some sleep somewhere! Your boys are the cutest. Don't worry sleep comes back, and I totally agree that if someone offers to come help you'd be crazy not to accept!
Thank you for the pix of the Great Grands! Yesterday must have been a busy one. Aunt Nancy
I love the pic of the little bundles squished/swaddled together!!!!!!!
