This past weekend was my Grandma and Grandpa Tackett's 60th Wedding Anniversary. We packed up the kids and the dogs and made the trip to Shenandoah for the party. Just like last week at the wedding, there were a lot of family and friends that met the boys for the first time. They were once again passed around more times in one weekend than Blank at a Blank. Please feel free to insert your own words where it says blank. I am changing things up a bit by letting you help out with the blog. Studies show you are less likely to stop reading if you interact with the author.
It was a nice reception and nice to see faces you haven't seen in awhile. Lindsey and I only hope we can make it to 60 years before she gets tired of me and finds a younger more fit version.

Seth (my little brother) got to hold his nephews for the first time as well!!
For those who have directv or any cable provider, you may know what I am talking about. Have you ever seen the show "Storm Chasers". We were driving south of Tarkio, MO when we noticed we were following a mobile Doppler radar. We then popped over a hill that there was a convoy of about 20 storm chasing vehicles from that same TV show. There were trucks with the Doppler radar of the back of it and smaller scouting vehicles. The show is based on one group of meteorologist and we did see all their vehicles. Two things quickly came to mind. #1...Awesome...we are seeing the vehicles we see of the TV show we watch. (oh man...Lindsey and I were totally geeking out about it too. We were like "No way" "Awesome" "Can't believe were are seeing them in person" then #2 struck.....CRAP...we are following a storm chasing convoy that chases TORNADOES. "NO WAY" "AWESOME" "I WANT TO FOLLOW THEM" was still in my mind. The crazy thing was they were all leaving (in a hurry) when we pulled up on them. Which if you ever watch the show means 1 of 2 things.... a tornado is right behind them and they are getting out the way...or they are trying to get ahead of the storm. Thankfully...for the babies they were speeding off to get ahead of the storm. Unfortunately... for me who loves storms and went to college to be a meteorologist (I changed majors quickly b/c I realized I am not smart enough) there wasn't a tornado. We followed them for about 25 minutes on the Interstate. They quickly pulled over just south of Mound City...only assuming somebody had to pee...and we went on our way. We later found out there were tornadoes spotted in Missouri. So maybe, just maybe when the new season comes out you will see the episode when they are in northern MO chasing storms and you see a tan colored Honda Element stopped on the side of the road waving and snapping pictures like 15 year old girls at a Jonas Brothers Concert...or for you older viewers...an 18 year old back in the 70's at a Kiss Concert.
The "DOW" (Doppler on Wheels) from the TV show
Oklahoma University had a storm chasing unit in the convoy.
What a sweet class that would be. See dialog below of how conversation may go.
"Hey other college student...what did your class do today?
"We sat in the classroom and listened to a boring lecture...You?
"I drove around the midwest wrestling tornadoes!!!"
